Student Scholarships
Student Eligibility
Students must have been presented for a Cecchetti examination by an Eastern Michigan Committee member. Students must be prepared to attend a two week intensive dance program, be at least eleven years old, and have the recommendation of the sponsoring Cecchetti teacher.
How to Register
Complete the pre-registration form and send along with a check in the amount of $15 to Dawn Greene, 8205 Macomb, Grosse Ile, MI 48138. For information regarding the registration process email: laura.mccarthy@comcast.net or dawngreene@comcast.net.
Audition Levels
Students will be placed in the audition level based upon their level of training using the Cecchetti grades as a guideline.
Location and Directions
Auditions take place at the Summit on the Park in Canton, Michigan.
The Process
Three qualified CCA members will judge the participants on style, quality, and technical ability demonstrated in the audition class. There will be both partial and full tuition scholarships awarded.
How to Dress
Proper attire for girls is a black traditional leotard, pink tights, ballet and pointe shoes. No skirts, no leg-warmers or other warm-ups allowed. Hair must be securely fastened. Proper attire for boys is a white t-shirt, black tights, ballet slippers.
Results
Results of the auditions are sent via letter within one week of the audition to all students who auditioned.
