The EMC is proud of two of our own talented students who were selected to represent the Cecchetti Council of America in the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition in Calgary, Alberta, Canada this summer.
Jenny Bobo, student of Betty Mitchell and Gayla Norris, and Janna Fuller, student of Rosemarie Floyd and Theresa Butkovich, were two of four competitors chosen by the CCA Executive Board. The competition had competitors from England, Australia, South Africa, and Canada all ranging in age from 13 to 19, dancing a classical and a contemporary solo.

Janna chose a classical ballet variation from Paquita and a contemporary piece choreographed by Kennett Oberly from Columbus, OH.
Jenny chose to perform a classical variation from Giselle and a contemporary piece titled “Left Behind” choreographed by Cindy Morgan.
